Droplets

Two droplets falling

into an ever expansive

infinitely blue sea.

The cadence of our subsequent ripples falling into perfect sync with each other.

Undulating, trembling, languidly reaching out together.

Our intensity eventually dissipating as we move out further into the ocean,

and away from one another.

Our impressions on the water erased.

Our ripples assimilated into the restless ebb and flow of the tide.

But forever one is a part of the other,

our essence eternally intertwined,

a part of an ever expansive,

infinitely deep,

heartbreakingly blue sea.

  1. Paul says:

Such raw cold science made metaphorical in such an intimate way makes a torn emotion swell up in me as I read it.
    Always beautiful Lolly.
